He is responsible for ensuring the club has a clear purpose and objectives that will deliver a safe, fun, progressive and inclusive environment for all. Recently, Vince has been appointed to the board of the senior club and is overseeing some key projects that will shape the future of the club. Vince is always keen to hear your feedback on how the club is doing so we can keep improving !! Darren Kelly Club Strategy Director Darren supports the club in all its key strategic and operational decisions and sits on the Juniors board along with Vince who both drive the direction of the Juniors football club. He also oversees the clubs Welfare and Safeguarding team ensuring the club takes a pro active approach to safety, safeguarding and positive well being of all our members. Darren has been an integral part of the clubs evolution and has been the main enabler on some of the key milestones the club has achieved to date including Charter Standard. Darren is also attached to the Burgess Hill Town Seniors as the club welfare officer and sits on the executive committee of the Brighton and Hove Schools District FA as the district welfare officer. Darren can be found most Saturdays at training either coaching the Minis or supporting several age groups as both his boys play at BHTFC Juniors. Darren enjoys nothing more than watching the boys play football and be part of an inclusive club. Sarah Barron Club Welfare Officer Sarah has been an integral part of the football club from day one and supported Vince and Darren in setting up Athletico Burgess Hill in the early days. Since then she has been a driving force on the committee from the original 24 players to the amazing club it is today. She enjoys being part of such a wonderful club and continues to support Vince and Darren to give our local children an enjoyable, safe and fun place to play football. Sarah has worked across many committee roles when the club was first starting out, so has a very good understanding of the club, the leagues, the Sussex County FA and has a lot of knowledge in these areas and in supporting the players. Sarah’s son plays at BHTFC Juniors and she enjoys watching him play and train at the club. Sarah’s daughter also trains with the newly formed girls’ section, and her daughter also assists with coaching the Mini Hillians alongside Vince Alfieri and Darren Kelly on Saturday mornings. Sarah is the first point of contact, for parents, players, coaches, managers and the committee members, leagues and the Sussex County FA for any welfare or safeguarding concerns, questions or advice. You can find Sarah most Friday night and Saturday morning training sessions !! Sarah works closely with the Sussex County FA to ensure that our club keeps our young people and children safe in football. Emma Baker Information coming soon … Tina Alfieri Head Of Girls / Womens Football Tina is one of the founders of the football club and has been instrumental in its success. Championed with attracting new players to join the Club, Tina has successfully put recruitment campaigns and promotions together, which has brought about many children coming to the open days and joining up. Until recently, the Club did not have its own ” girls section ” . It has always been the vision to have a girls section and in the summer of 2020, Tina made this vision a reality. After running a successful campaign to attract girls to play at our Club, over 65 girls attended the open day and joined up. We have girls from aged 6yrs up to 18yrs . We now have a Girls Section with over 180 girl players Claire Kelly Club Events Claire is the main contact between the football club and all its members. Claire is responsible for making sure all its members have the answers to any of their queries or questions, especially new members that have just joined the football club. Claire has been a real driving force in the improvements the club has made over the years, her ability to continuously challenge the process has enabled the football club to be a more effective and enjoyable place for all its members Claire was the inaugural winner of the 2019 Club Award last season in recognition for all her efforts. Contact Claire for all general enquiries Amanda Lippett Treasurer My name is Amanda Lippett and I’m the Treasurer for Burgess Hill Juniors Football Club. My main role is to control the flow of money going in and out of the club’s bank account including settling invoices and monitoring outstanding payments. I am also here as a go-to for any financial related questions should they arise so please feel free to email me with any questions. I’ve been part of the committee since September 2019 and have a son Zach who currently plays for the Under 11 Blacks of which my Husband John is one of the coaches. You may also see me helping out in the tea hut too, and on the odd occasion with the help of our daughter Elle. So as you can tell, our family life is pretty much football, football . Good job we all love it!! Neil Brunton Manager : Athletico Burgess Hill FC Men's Team I have been with the club now for 3 years and in that time have seen a vast change in the club coming from a humble few teams into the club it has become with 25+ teams and a great girls set up progressing all the time. I am the Manager of the men’s football Club ” Athletico Burgess Hill FC ” The tea hut is also a big part of my family as my wife Lorraine and son Rian keep everyone in coffee and treats throughout the season whilst I ensure the upkeep and restocking. John Lippett Operations Manager My roles at the Club includes maintenance work on our beloved tea hut and to help organise and maintain all our training kit that our members use on a weekly basis, which is no small task. I also help marking out all the pitches at BHA on a regular basis so we always have pitches ready to play on every weekend come rain or shine. I helped set up our first summer tournament this year helping to design and build the facility required for the tournament and spent many hours marking the tournament pitches and isolation bubble areas to keep all competitors and families Covid safe. I also made many signboards to display essential signage to carry out a safe tournament. Having been in this role for almost a year I have really enjoyed the team spirit displayed by everyone at the club and on the committee. We are a very close friendly club and I hope this continues long into the future. Hopefully, together we will make this club a great place for all the local children to get together and enjoy the beautiful game. Rob Stovell Equipment, Facilities & Events I started with the club helping build and pack down the goals!! Fast forward four years and I now play a vital and important day to day role for the club. I open and close the facilities at Burgess Hill Academy, being the first one to arrive and generally the last one to leave. I plan and coordinate all the installations surrounding the club’s assets. This includes the inspection and upkeep of structures to include maintenance and repairs. I manage the supply and facilities of all players equipment to ensure they are able to play football using the highest standard equipment. You will see me most Saturdays line marking our pitches to ensure all the matches are played or in the storage unit separating the different balls!! In addition to this, I manage the U10 age group which comprises of three teams where I take great pleasure In coaching the U10 Black team. In August I organised the club’s first-ever Summer Football Tournament where 60 plus teams played matches over two days. Both of my two boys are at the club and I take great pride in coaching and developing all the players in a safe and enjoyable environment.
