We are proud to have partnered up with ” Believe In You “, a support service for children and families experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological issues. As a football club, we recognise the need for young people to have access to a support service, in a safe environment, helped by qualified, specialist professionals, that are equipt to help young children through difficult times in their lives.
In the next few months, we will have a safe space on Saturday mornings where children (and parents if they wish) can drop in and meet the people from Believe In You, in absolute confidence. More details will follow…
“Believe in You” is an exclusive support service, with a passion to improve Mental Health and emotional wellbeing amongst teenagers and young people.
We specialise in issues which include depression, anxiety, self-harm, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, problems at school, bereavement, risky behaviour, social isolation, body image/gender issues and anger management. Our focus is on improving self-esteem, confidence, resilience and to encourage young people to access support easily and effectively before the onset of CAMHS level issues develop.
We work both within schools across Kent and East Sussex, and in the community too. Our unique approach is designed to empower young people, mentor and guide them through managing their emotional wellbeing and positively inspire them for the future. We are currently involved in projects funded by Active Sussex to improve Mental Health through sport and fitness and are excited to be involved in a new partnership with Burgess Hill Town FC supporting their young players.
Our team are from a variety of backgrounds with expertise and knowledge in all areas of Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing, and pride ourselves in offering a friendly, non-judgemental approach to both young people and their families. We are available for advice too, and will happily signpost to specialist agencies if needed to ensure the young person has access to services which are most appropriate.”
